Introduction
Cheonan Three-Way Intersection (Samgeori) is known as the intersection of Samnam-daero, which splits into roads going to Seoul to the north, Gyeongsang-do Province (Daegu and Gyeongju) to the south, and Jeolla-do Province (Nonsan, Gwangju and Mokpo) to the west. There are weeping willows throughout the 207,000m² park, established in the 1970s. Seated near the pond is the Yeongnamnu Pavilion (Chungcheongnam-do Cultural Heritage No. 12), speculated to have been the gate to Hwachukgwan in the Joseon Dynasty. In addition, there are the Samnyongdong Three-Story Stone Pagoda (Chungcheongnam-do Cultural Heritage No. 11), Independence Fighters and Liberation Monument and Cheonan Song Monument.
